Waypoint Dashboard

The dashboard is your first view of Waypoint after logging in. It displays all maps that you have permission to view and provides functionality for searching, opening, and managing your maps. To access, either log into Waypoint or click the Map Manager tab at the top of the form.

Add Map — Click to create a new map using Map Properties.

Edit Map Properties — Click to view and/or modify map properties. See the Map Properties topic for field descriptions.

Duplicate Selected Map — Click to create a new version of the map selected within the grid. See the Duplicate Map topic for field descriptions.

Delete a Map — Click to permanently remove a map from Waypoint and Symedical. Maps cannot be deleted when they are:

  • Checked out in Symedical.

  • Assigned as the target map or the reference map of an algorithm.

  • Used by site channels.

Export to Excel — Click to export map information into an Excel spreadsheet.

View Map History — Click to view details for changes made in the selected map. See the Map History topic for field descriptions.

Quick Search — Enter criteria and click to initiate a contains search on source and target catalog names.

Reset Grid Filters — Click to return search and column filters to their default state without resetting persisted custom grid settings (displayed columns, sort order, and column order).

Reset Saved Grid Settings — Click to return all grid settings (including grid filters) to their default state. The search default returns a list of all maps. The grid default returns all columns to the grid.

Assigned Only — Select to display only those maps containing terms requiring your (the user) review.

Grid Items

The table below lists the dashboard grid items in alphabetical order.

Additional Description

Displays comments that further delineate the use or intent of the map as defined by the user.

Checked Out By

Displays the name of the user who has the map checked out.

Last Modified

Displays the date and time the map properties were last changed.

Map Name

Displays the name of the map.

Map Type

Displays the map template name, which determines the default algorithms, domains, and analysis options assigned to the map.

Map Version

Displays a name or number that is used to identify a particular variation of an existing map. Versions can be created to keep record of historical maps and to archive maps you may no longer need but wish to keep. New versions exist separately from the original map and changes to one do not affect the other.

Mapped %

Displays the percentage of terms that have been mapped for the map.

Mnemonic

Displays the map’s unique identifier for Symedical runtime services.

Originating Site

Displays the location for the map, which is used in Symedical runtime services to configure environments and set up runtime channels for transcoding. The sites made available for selection are configured within Symedical.

Owner

Displays the name of the creator (or owner) of the map.

Protected

Displays True or False as to whether the map is protected from being checked out or analyzed for mapping in Symedical.

Source Catalog

Displays the name of the source catalog within a map.

Source Terms

Displays the total count of the number of terms in the source catalog.

Status

Displays the current map status of active, retired, or work in progress.

Target Catalog

Displays the name of the target catalog within a map.

Target Terms

Displays the total count of the number of terms in the target catalog.
