Submitting and Publishing

Within Waypoint, terms can be submitted for publishing and then published to the Symedical runtime services. Publishing to the runtime pushes a copy of the Symedical mapping information to the runtime to update and/or transcode map data. See the following procedures for information on performing these tasks.

Submitting Terms for Publishing

Follow the steps below to submit map terms for publishing.

  1. With your desired map open in Map Manager, select one or more terms in the grid that you wish to submit.

  2. Click to submit the term. Presence of indicates the term has been submitted.

Publishing to Symedical Runtime Services

Follow the steps below to publish map data to a Symedical runtime service.

  1. With your desired map open in Map Manager, click the Map menu and then click Publish to view the Publish Map dialog. See the Map Manager topic for a detailed view of the window.

  2. Select one or more repositories to publish to.

  3. The dialog displays a count of the number of terms submitted for this publication. To publish only submitted terms, ensure the Publish All check box is clear. To publish all map terms, select Publish All.

  4. Select Clear Submitted and/or Clear Reviewer to remove the submitted status and the reviewer name of all map terms in Waypoint after the publication is complete.

  5. Click OK to initiate the publish.

    Please Note: You must have a repository selected and either Publish All selected or submitted terms to publish.
